The most important information I can share with my clients is hydration.
Want to have more energy, better digestion and possibly less pain, try adding more water to your daily life. We need at least half our body weight in ounces of water every day. Example, if I weigh 150 pounds , I need 75 ounces of water every day. This is NOT counting coffee or tea, they both are diuretics which means they draw water out of your body. Water is fuel for our body, just like gasoline is for a car.
Water helps flush out toxins, it is the single most important laxative, it hydrates our skin, our organs and leaves us feeling more energized.
One of the fundamental differences between the cells in a body of a seven year old and a 70 year old is that the cells in the older person are dehydrated, dried out and shrunken. All cells need to be optimally hydrated to carry out their functions. As an example, neurotransmitters in the brain literally are like buds that do not bloom well without water.
I slowly added more water to my lifestyle starting with 32 oz first thing upon arising and continuing to drink thru out the day. My skin was a major shift along with my digestion. I am now drinking 85 to 100 oz a day and don’t even miss my morning coffee. That midafternoon slump that I use to get has disappeared.
I found a water bottle vessel that I liked to use and carry it with me everywhere.
Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy an occasional cup of coffee, but I’m not dependent upon it for my energy start each day.
Try water therapy for two weeks and see if your overall sense of wellbeing improves. Most people will see the benefits of optimal hydration.
